The West Highland Way is a long distance (95 miles) footpath in Scotland, which uses ancient roads to traverse the beautiful landscape between Milngavie and Fort William.
Imagine waking up in a cozy bed and breakfast, packing a small daypack with just a camera, journal, and lunch (Your larger bags will be shuttled to the next stopping point!) and setting out to see some of the most spectacular scenery that Scotland has to offer. This will be your daily routine as we trek through the woodlands and rolling farmlands of the Scottish lowlands. The views change throughout the week to mist filled lochs, moors, quiet glens and finally winding your way up the “Devil’s Staircase” to experience the incredible mountain views of the Scottish Highlands.
June 13 - 20, 2016 $3250 (this cost does not include airfare to Scotland.) You must be 15-18 years old at the time of the event.
All technical gear will be provided. You’ll receive a detailed packing list upon registration. You will need a passport for this journey.
A $200 deposit will be due immediately upon acceptance to this event. (It's part of the event fee, not in addition to it.) You will need to purchase your round-trip transportation to and from our gateway city of New York and then onto a designated flight to Glasgow, Scotland. ATS has scholarship opportunities available!
